A$AP Rocky Trying To Perform At Infamous Swedish Prison

A$AP Rocky would “love to” perform for inmates at the Swedish prison where he was held earlier this year.

The hip-hop star was incarcerated in July after being charged over an altercation on June 30.

After behind held behind bars for more than a month, he was eventually freed ahead of a guilty verdict for assault, announced in August, and allowed to leave the country.

The rapper announced he will return to the Swedish capital, Stockholm, for a gig at the Ericsson Globe venue on December 11.

And he is interested in performing at the prison while he is in town. However, he doubts permission will be granted.

“Being that it’s a maximum-security lockdown detention center where you’ve got to stay in a room for 23 hours a day, I doubt they’ll let those people get a performance,” he told TMZ.

The rapper, real name Rakim Mayers, made headlines after he and two members of his entourage were arrested for assaulting a man following a concert in Stockholm.

He and his team claimed they acted in self-defense, but a district court found all three guilty of assault, handing down a two-year suspended sentence and ordering them to pay the victim damages.

Due to the time already served in detention, they avoided a custodial sentence.
